Today Brandon and I took Brooke to the Dallas Zoo. This was Brooke’s first time to a zoo. We love going to the zoo so we were both looking froward to going on this trip with Brooke. When we got there Brooke was more entertained by her pacifier than the animals, but the bigger the animals got the more she paid attention to them. She did look at the penguins and otters, but other than that the small animals were of no interest to her. One animal she paid attention to or looked at was the gorilla, he was so close to us, so that made it very nice! She also looked at the giraffe and what seemed to be her favorite the elephant. The rest of the time she just talked, squealed and played with her pacifier. Right before we left we stopped by the childrens zoo and took our picture with a picture of me hanging in the barn when I was like in the 6th grade. When I was in grade school and middle school I was a junior zoo keeper (nerd i know)and I for years I was in the zoo brochure and now have a picture of me hanging in the barn in the children’s zoo area. I look completely nerdy with my perm and purple sunglasses, but back then it was cool. At least that is what I tell myself. The trip was very fun but we look forward to going again when she does get older and is able to enjoy it more. When we were leaving the we did get her a souvenir. It is so cute. We got her a cute little T-shirt that says “My First Vist – Dallas Zoo.” Enjoy the pics!!!

Well as I have said before on a previous blog, Brooke’s first tooth has come through. Now the one next to it is making its way up and this one is hurting, poor baby. Brandon and I went out on a date night and Brooke stayed with my mom. When it was time for Brooke to go to sleep she would not stop crying for my mom. My mom finally gave her a teething ring to see if that would help and it did. So when Brandon and I picked her up we stopped at Wal-mart to get some teething tablets and baby orajel. We used the teething tablets that night and they seemed to help a lot. So hopefully this tooth will make its interest and stop putting our baby through pain.

My best friend Rachel’s brother Austin, who is like a little brother to me came home from England where he was based for the military. He only had one day at home so we all went out to dinner and he got to meet Brooke for the first time. So this is a picture of Brooke with Austin. Also Austin’s little sister is named Brooke, who just loves our Brooke (i know confusing right). When we are all together we make it easier by calling her Big Brooke and our Brooke little Brooke. So here is a picture of the 2 Brooke’s!!!

Well her first tooth has made it grand entrance. It has broke through the skin and now Brooke loves to feel it with her tongue and lips. It is so cute!!! I can’t wait to get a picture of it!!!

Well this weekend Brandon and I saw Brooke’s first tooth coming in. It hasn’t broke through the skin yet but it is getting close. It is so cute. It is one on the bottom. I also think another one next to is coming in as well, just not as fast as the first one we saw. I will post a picture as soon as I can get one. It is hard to see them because she doesn’t want to show them and again like I mentioned before, she is a wiggle worm!
