Brooke’s First Trip

Well we left for San Francisco on Wednesday. This was Brooke’s first time to fly on a airplane. Brandon and I were both a little nervous on how Brooke would be on the plane because we have been on a plane before with screaming babies. I decided to feed her when we took off to help with the pressure and that worked amazing!!! The rest of the time Brooke just slept on Brandon. It was so cute! She did awesome!!! So when we got to San Francisco we went to Pier 39, The Bay Aquarium, China Town, and Little Italy. Thursday morning Brandon and I decided to run and what a difference the weather makes on your body while running. It was so nice outside and the view was amazing as well. I ran 6 miles and Brandon continued and ran across the golden gate bridge for a total of 12 miles. That run was so fun and enjoyable for the both of us. After the run we went to Alcatraz and then just walked around the bay area. Friday morning we went to the San Fran Zoo and this zoo was awesome. The zoo was very nice, probably one of the nicest zoos we have been too. Friday afternoon we drove to Muir Woods and went for a walk through that. We took Brooke in her carrying pack rather than the stroller and she loved it. That night we went to the rehearsal dinner for Brandon’s cousin Joel at a local pizza joint. The best pizza was this green pesto pizza, which looked scary, but was very yummy! Saturday Brandon and I took Brooke to the Exploratorum. This place was awesome!!! Brooke slept through a lot if it, but Brandon and I played and explored. Every exhibit was hands on which Brandon and I love. WE wish we had more time to spend here but we had to go back to the hotel and get ready for Joel’s wedding. The wedding was on the beach and Brandon and I were the photographers so this was very fun for us. My mom went on the trip with us so between her and Brandon’s parents and the rest of the family Brooke was well taken care of while we took pictures. Sunday was a pretty relaxed day and we just went back to Pier 39 to see the sea lions again and walk to Ghiradelli square. We also made our way to a park near by the golden gate bridge to get some pictures of us and the bridge. After that we headed to the airport and again Brooke was great on the plane! We had a great time but it is great to be home!!!

Father’s Day

Today we celebrated Brandon’s first Father’s Day. We got him a Number 1 Dad t-shirt, a blue ray dvd and pictures of Brooke dressed in Daddy;s shirt and hat. For lunch we had Nana, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Allison and Great Grandpa over to our house for hamburgers. We had a pretty relaxing uneventful day but very enjoyable. Happy First Father’s Day Daddy!!!

Mesquite Rodeo

Tonight we went to the Mesquite Rodeo. My mom won a suite so that was nice to watch the rodeo from above in comfortable seats. We had catered barbecue and it was very yummy. During the bull riding Me, Brandon, Liz, Shari and Marc went down on the catwalk to watch it up close. One bull was very stubborn and almost jumped over the railings. It was a little scary. I was looking around for an escape route just in case it did come over. Here are some pictures of us at the rodeo, Yeehaw!!
