Mini Pumpkin Pies

Again I got this idea from Bakerealla. I saw them and just had to make them since they were miniature and pumpkins. I love miniature treats and pumpkins so I was up for the challenge. These pies are so easy but my filling sunk in after they were done baking. I am not going to re do them so I am just living with the fact that they are not perfect. I made some with jack-o-lantern faces and some others with drizzle. They taste pretty good but the recipe called for cream cheese and I think they have a little too much cream cheese taste to them. I am saving them for Sunday night when our CG (community group) comes to our house, so we will just have to wait to see if they like them.

Halloween Costumes

Brandon and I took Brooke to the Arboretum on Sunday and got as far as the entrance. WE decided to go back home because it was NUTS inside. If we would have stayed on Sunday there would be other kids, lots of them, in our pictures and we didn’t want that. So, we decided to reschedule and go today. Today was SO SO SO much better. Brooke loved the pumpkins. She called them all balls, but it was so cute to see her get so excited and point to all the orange balls (pumpkins).

Pumpkins and Ghosts

Its getting close to Halloween and I have been dying to making a Halloween treat. So, today I made cut out sugar cookies with royal icing in the shape of pumpkins and ghosts. I used piping and flooding for the icing on the cookies. The ghosts eyes are m&m’s. I think they turned out pretty cute and they were also very yummy.

Sew what

Today I got a new sewing/embroidery machine. I have been wanting one for a few years now and decided back then that it might just be a phase. But since the want for one has continued I decided to go ahead and get one. I love this thing so far. I have done a few trials just to play around and get familiar with it. Then I busted out a hard design and tried it out on a onesie for Brooke. I will post the picture once I complete this project. Hopefully it won’t look horrible, being my first embroidery job.
