Well today we’ve taken a turn for the cold. Current temperature: 35, Feels like: 30! Most importantly… snowing!!! Couldn’t help but take Brooke outside to walk around.
I have the greatest joy and ability to stay at home with my wonderful and beautiful daughter several times a week. Today I decided to give homemade play dough a whirl and wow was it so simple and fun! I made it pink of course because pink is the signature girl color. Brooke liked to eat it, which wasn’t so bad because all the ingredients are edible, but I encouraged her to just play with it. Every once in awhile she would slip a little piece in though, i thought it was disgusting, all that slat, Yuck! Whatever makes her happy, and this did, she loved playing with play dough.
I wanted to make a sweet treat today but had to be very creative in what i chose because I only had 1/4 cup of butter and 2 eggs. As you know when you bake eggs and butter are a MUST and very important. Well, since I had very little of either of these items I decided to go with a recipe that required no butter and only 1 egg. What came out is what I call Chocolate Sugar Crop cookies. Very simple and tasty!!
