Yesterday we decided to go to the Science Place again. Our friends Kristen, Cade and Avie wanted to go visit the Science Place so we decided to go with them. This time around was a little different for a few reasons:
1. There were a thousand day care kids there
2. We had 3 kids and 2 adults compared to 1 kid and 2 adults
3. Brooke had a playmate, which made this very fun for her and fun for me to watch.
We had a great time despite all the daycare kids but we worked our way through areas after they were done so it turned out to be not so bad.

I have been waiting for Brooke to turn 18 months old so I could have her try out gymnastics. Today was her trial class to see how the class was and also to see how Brooke would participate. Her friend Cade also came along to try the class out as well. First they did a few songs in a circle. She followed along for the most part. Then she went to the trampoline and jumped, this was her favorite part. After the trampoline they got to jump in the foam pit and play and also do the rope swing into the pit. Then it was time for tumbling. She loved it except for the front and back rolls. She freaked out and did not like that part at all. Gymnastics was very fun for the both of us and I think we will continue to go. Here are some pictures of her day at ASI gymnastics.

Brooke had her 18th month old checkup today, so since we were in the area we decided to go to North Park Mall to hang out. My mom and our friends Kristen, Cade and Avie also met up with us. The kids loved watching the turtles and ducks. They also liked to throw coins in the water, so cute. While we were there we also ran into a few other friends. Here are some pictures of our adventure at the mall.

This summer Brooke and I are doing “Color of the Week.” This week the color is red. She was having so much fun with her activity today that I had to take pictures. This is something I just made up for Brooke to learn her colors. We do colors, crafts, projects, flash cards and much more! We hope you have fun learning your colors or teaching colors!

So summer is in swing and so we are off doing fun things. Today Brooke, Nana and I went to the Science Place. Brooke really enjoyed the kids museum. She loved to play in the tunnels, look at the animals, play in the farm area (here she would put balls down the holes, this was to resemble planting seeds), sliding down the slide and watching mommy make big bubbles. We had a great day and like always it is so fun to watch Brooke explore.
