Texas Rangers

Last night our cg and a few other people from our church went to the Rangers game. I decided to buy us 3 shirts to support the Rangers. I thought it would be cute, which i was right, lol. This was Brooke’s first time to a baseball game other than daddy’s softball games. It was also dollar hot dog night, which is what I think I was most excited about. Sad I know! Brooke ate some of her hot dog but was more interested in the baseballs cookies I had made. She did great throughout the entire game. She espically liked sitting with Wyatt, but that only lasted a few minutes becasue Wyatt actually wanted to watch the game. But our first visit to the Ballpark with Brooke was a success, not for the rangers though, so sad!

American Girl

Brooke has a American girl, well a bitty baby. She has never been in the store so this week I took Brooke to the Galleria to visit. She liked seeing all the babies and really enjoyed her visit. I made her stay in her stroller because no telling what all she would have gotten into if I would have let her out. We decided to make our way to the bitty baby section to see if there was anything we needed to get for her baby or for Brooke. They have matching outfits for the kids and their dolls, which I think is so cute. I decided to get Brooke a pair of slippers that match her dolls. So here is Brooke in her slippers once we got home. Unfortunately I can only find one of the baby dolls slippers, they are still cute though!

Baseball Cookies

Tonight our community group is going to the rangers game so I thought I would bring along a cute and yummy treat. I decided to make sugar cookies and then flood them with royal icing and top with red icing for the lacing. Here is the result!

Rolled out and cut. Ready for the oven.

Aunt Myra

Today my mom, Brooke and I met up with my Aunt Myra in Arlington for lunch. This was her first time to meet Brooke so it was a very special lunch indeed. Myra is my dad’s youngest sister and has always been my closest and yes favorite Aunt. I love her to pieces and was so excited for her to meet Brooke. Brooke loved Aunt Myra, which was no surprise and hugged her when we were leaving. The food was great but having such wonderful company made the lunch so much better. We love you Aunt Myra!!! Sorry the pictures are a little blurry!

Sea World

Sea World is one of my favorite places to visit. If anyone has ever gotten me on the topic of Killer Whales or sea animals in general, the conversation could go on for hours. I always told Brandon if we lived in San Antonio i would HAVE to work at Sea World. So anyways enough with my obsession with Sea World, at least for now. I knew when summer came around Brandon and I HAD to take Brooke to Sea World. I was so excited about this trip and couldn’t wait for it to come around. As you know from the post before we went to a breakfast with the Sesame Street characters so we got to go in the park before it actually opened. The restaurant we would be having this breakfast at was right across the way from the dolphin pool, so I was SO EXCITED. I immediately got Brooke and made our way to the dolphin pool, yes even though it was closed, shocking I know, lol. I knew that the dolphins would be very friendly and come right up to me and also play peek-a-boo from past sea world camp experiences I had with them. So did they? YES, 3 of them came swimming right up to Brooke and I and she actually touched one and not just a one finger touch like a whole hand for several seconds. This was AWESOME for me. A dolphin even rolled over on its back for us to rub its belly. So to say the least the trip started off WONDERFUL for me, for Brooke and Brandon as well, but again my inner Sea World Freak came out so I was more than excited. The rest of the day went well. Brooke enjoyed looking at the penguins, watching the Killer Whale show and eating strawberries. We went back to the hotel to take a nap, which we all needed and then headed back a few hours later. It was such a nice trip that all 3 of us enjoyed!!! I can’t wait to go back!

Her new dolphin. I had to wrap it up in a towel for her, it was it's blanket.
