Disney World / Universal Studios Day 3

We went to Downtown Disney were we rented a car (a hummer) to go to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure for the day. Brandon and I were looking forward to this so we could see the Harry Potter world they had created. There was really only 1 section in the park that Brooke could do so we headed there first. They had a section for the Kids in Dr. Seuss. This was a cute little area that they had decorated so fun. After that we all headed to the Harry Potter area. My mom watched Brooke while Brandon and I rode a few rides in the Wizarding world. The one inside the castle was amazing. But after that ride and the roller coaster ride, I needed a break. Man I am getting old…these roller coasters now make me feel nauseous. We rested then grabbed some lunch, which Brooke fell asleep at. This was a good thing because she was so cranky!! After lunch Brandon and I rode a few more rides then decided to head back to downtown Disney for some shopping. Day 3 was a good day but I was lookign forward to going back to the Disney parks!!!

Disney World Day 2

Today was going to be a eventful day. We had lots planned and a schedule to follow. We had lunch and dinner reservations so keeping on schedule this day was important. It was also important because it was my 28th birthday! What a way to celebrate too!!! So we first headed to Animal Kingdom which was so close to our hotel, so that was nice. We didn’t spend too much time here at this park but the time we did spend was fun. We first rode the safari ride which Brook loved then went to the petting zoo. The animals weren’t cooperating that much so we only got to touch a goat. After the petting zoo we went to see the 3d show A bugs Life. I wasn’t sure how Brooke would react because 1: she needed to wear the glasses, 2. it could get a little scary and 3. stuff touches, sprays and gets on you. She started off in my lap and then ended up in Brandon’s. She was fine with the show until the bugs started to spray us, but at the end of the show she said “again.” so I guess she liked it!

Us as Bugs, Aren't we cute!

After the show we headed back to the hotel to get Brooke to take a nap, we waited for her to fall asleep then put her in her stroller and we were off again! This time headed to Magic Kingdom. Here we had lunch reservations at the Crystal Palace to eat with Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore. Brooke got close to a 2 hour nap from the time we left the hotel to our reservations, so that was good! She again loved meeting the characters. Eeyore especially liked Brooke and that likeing was returned by Brooke as well.

Eeyore, Brooke and Nana. This was Nana's favorite charcter!

After lunch we went around the park and rode some rides. Brooke and I rode Dumbo, which was so fun for me to experience with her. We rode quite a few rides and also visited Minnie and Mickey’s homes. There was a lot more there for Brooke to do then I had originally thought. Here are some pictures of us on the rides.

Such a wonderful sight! This place is so magical!

Brooke in her Mickey ears! She is so flippin cute!

After the rides we had dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern for my birthday. This dinner was very delicious and then we got to celebrate with a cake following the dinner. After dinner was the electric parade and fireworks show. I wasn’t sure if we were going to make it through either or even both of these becasue Brooke was tired and cranky. But once the parade started we were good!! Day 2 was very busy but we sure had a great time.

Disney World – Day 1

First let me break down our trip for you before I begin blogging. Brandon and I decided that we wanted to take a vacation for our anniversary this year so we decided on Disney World. Although I was excited about this choice I could not bear going without Brooke or going for 8 days without her completely. So we had a solution, we brought her with us, well at least for part of the trip. My mom came along too and so all 4 of us were there for 4 days then Brooke and my mom headed back to Texas and Brandon and I spent another 4 days at Disney world on our own. Ok…So now that the explaining is done. Onto our first day at Disney World:

Day 1: We arrived in Orlando and headed straight to our hotel “Animal Kingdom Lodge” we used the Disney’s magical express which I HIGHLY recommend if you are planning on going to Disney. Once we got checked in, took a look at our room, we headed out and made our way to Hollywood Studios! Brooke’s favorite thing here was meeting the characters. We actually got to meet a ton of them because a worker told us to stick around and all the characters would come into the building before the parade. This was awesome and Brooke sure did love the characters and the characters loved her. Her favorite character at this stop was Lotso, the bear from Toy Story 3. 2nd runner up but became very close to first was Mickey. After meeting the characters we had dinner at the Hollywood and Vine restaurant where Brooke fell asleep literally while eating. After dinner we headed over to see the firework and water show Fantasmic. We had a great first day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!!!

A towel they had on our bed when we arrived!

Meeting Mater and Lightening McQueen

Showing our muscles with The Incredibles!

4th Anniversary

Today is our 4 year anniversary. I can’t believe 4 years have already passed by. Today, I had to go to work which I was kinda bummed about, but when Brandon got home he surprised me by taking me out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Ruth’s Chris. After dinner we went to Dave and Busters to play some games. This was so fun just to hang out and relax while playing silly games and of course trying to beat one another. We had such a great time and I am truly blessed with an amazing husband who loves me and cares for me, he truly is my blessed.

I can’t believe your mine
I can’t believe I’m yours
Cause only a Master’s hand
Could have devised and designed our course

Lost in your beauty
Lost in the freedom
I can’t owe this to myself
What have I ever done

Thats this good, this sweet, this right

With one glance of your eye
You’ve stolen my heart
And beautiful you are, my darling
There is no flaw in you

Now I lack nothing
And now there’s peace
You have such patience with me
Freely you give your love

Your so good, so sweet, so right

You are clothed in strength
You are dressed in dignity
With you He is saving me
You are all I wanted
You are all I need now
I wil call you blessed

Gone are the good old days
I have no need for useless things
I’ve found something better to last me forever
For you speak with wisdom
And faithful instruction
Many do noble things
But you have surpassed them all

Your so good, so sweet, so right

I love you Brandon, Happy 4th Anniversary!
