Sea World

We love Sea World, and since we were in San Antonio for Nana’s birthday we of course had to go! We actually went 2 days and had a blast. The first day we watched a few shows, ate lunch with Shamu and went to the water park. The lunch with Shamu and the water park were my favorites for the day! Seeing the killer whales up close was so thrilling for me! It totally brought me back to my sea world camp days! I also LOVED feeding the dolphins at dolphin cove. I literally could spend hours there! Brooke loves feeding the dolphins and petting them! Luke liked them but from a distance. He liked being in Daddy’s arms and watching them there safely! The water park was a blast and Brooke really got brave and was swimming and going down several slides! Luke enjoyed being in the water but doesn’t really like getting splashed in the face, other than that he loved every minute of it! After swimming and playing at the water park, we went over the Sesame Street area. Brooke and Luke loved riding all the rides in this area. Luke absolutely loved the carousel. He would yell and hold on as tight as he could when the ride was over because he did not want to get off. Brooke loved riding the Shamu roller coaster, she even got brave and would put her hands in the air. We then attended the sesame street characters block party. The kids got to dance with all the Sesame Street characters, and they loved it!

Nana’s Birthday

For Nana’s Birthday she wanted to go to San Antonio for the weekend! So, we packed up and drove down for the weekend. We stopped at Buc-ee’s because Nana had never been to one and then we ate at my favorite restaurant Lupe Tortilla’s in Austin! Once we got to San Antonio, we stayed at our favorite hotel, Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort. We love this hotel because of the amenities and the views are just so pretty! It is also right across the street from Sea World, so it is very convenient! We hung out at the hotel for Nan’s birthday and went swimming and enjoyed the lazy river! For dinner, we went and ate at Lulu’s bakery and dinner. She had seen this restaurant on the food network and wanted their 3lb cinnamon roll for her birthday! We had a great day and enjoyed celebrating Nana’s birthday down in San Antonio!

Last Day of Play School

This was Brooke’s last day of Playschool! We have loved her teachers and staff this year and were so blessed by them.  Brooke’s playschool had a splash day where they got to wash toy cars, play in pools and in sprinklers! They had a blast with splash time!  They then had lunch and received their scrapbook from things they had done all year. When it was time to leave, I saw Mrs. Kasha in the hall, as she hugged Brooke and said she was going to miss her, I began to cry. I know it’s silly, but I love these ladies so much and appreciate how great they have treated and taught Brooke! Brandon and I decided to put Brooke in a different mother’s day out program next school year, where some of her friends here in our home town go. The school is also closer to our home as well, which makes it nice! Even though I know Brooke will love it at her new school, it makes me sad to leave such great people behind knowing I won’t see them every week! Brooke loves Mrs. Waleta, Mrs. Tracie, Mrs. Kasha and Mrs. Sandy and we are forever grateful for the impact, love, teaching and caring you showed to our sweet daughter!

Swimming at Nana’s

Although it hasn’t been gotten too hot here in Teas yet, Brooke has been asking to go swimming. So we decided to have a cookout and swim at Nana’s house. Grandma, Papa, Allison and Rikki came over too! The water was chilly to say the least but we managed to stay in for at least 30-45 minutes. Brooke is still getting used to the water and swimming again, but I know she will take off soon! She can now touch in the shallow end of my moms pool, she thinks this is so cool!

Cayden’s 5th Birthday

Our sweet friend Cayden turned 5 and had a batman party! Brooke wore her batman shirt but Luke didn’t have one so he wore his superman shirt! Brooke and Luke had a blast celebrating Cayden’s birthday by jumping and going down on the bounce slide. The masks Amy and her mom made were so cute and turned out great! We love our friends and are blessed we were able to celebrate Cayden’s 5th birthday with them!
