Our Vacation to Maui
Brandon and I decided to come to Maui to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Brandon has never been to Maui and I have always wanted to go back, so we were both very excited about going! We decided not to take Brooke with us. So she is staying with my mom, Brandon’s parents and my best friend Jamie while we are gone.
There is a 5 hour time difference so we left Dallas at 8:30am and arrived in Maui around 2:15pm. I was so excited to step off the plane and smell their air. I know it sounds weird, but the air in Maui is refreshing. The smell of the ocean and flowers is wonderful. We got our luggage, our Jeep rental car and made our way to Costco. Yes, Costco. Brandon wanted to check out their regional items and see what they carried differently from us in Texas.
Once we arrived at the hotel, we checked in and they gave us a free upgraded room! We can see the ocean pretty well from our room so we were excited. After checking out the room, we walked the beach holding hands, got splashed by waves and had a good time just enjoying the view. We walked to Whalers Village, looked in some shops and then ate dinner at Leilani’s restaurant. Brandon ordered a burger and I had the free range chicken pesto pasta.
After dinner we walked the beach again and checked out a few of the other hotels near by. We found a spot on the beach, sat there and watched the sun set. It was beautiful and a wonderful way to end our first day here in Maui.

Wow, now I am REALLY looking forward to our trip there in February! Gerry
Please do think of us on your adventures.
What did you like – what was not worth it etc.
Thanks – Tom
One of my favorite places – Maui – LOVED that place – wish I could have
spent more time there when Autumn and I went, instead of splitting our time between Maui and
Honolulu (Honolulu was just as commercial ized as Dallas – just had an ocean- other than
visiting Pearl Harbor I wouldn’t recommend going there).
Glad you all had fun!!
The pictures are beautiful! Happy 5th Anniversary and congrats on the new little one!!!!
Awww beautiful!!!! I miss that place!!!
