When I was at Baylor, 20 minutes from West I never attended West Fest. I knew I wanted to go and see what it was like so I put it on the calendar months in advance this year. We didn’t get out there till 12:30, so we were there during the hottest part of the day.

When we first got there we watched the tractor pull, which was quite entertaining! There was one old man who lost control of his tractor and ended up loosing a tire that jumped the fence and almost took out the crowd. There was also another tractor that was completely re-done and looked like a race car/tractor! I think this was the best part of the fair!

We walked the fair grounds and drank lots of water. They had crafts, dancing and a kids area. Brooke loved the petting zoo and got to ride the ponies. She absolutely loved this part and I think could of spent hours here. Brandon had the only food at the fest. He got a beer bread sausage sandwich. I was looking for my ham and cheese puff but no one had any!

After West Fest, we decided to go ahead and drive to Waco and eat lunch at our favorite place, Viteks! I couldn’t pass up eating at Viteks and getting a gut pack when we were only 20 minutes away! It was definitely worth it!
