Christmas Eve
This year for Christmas Eve, we all went to Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall. Allison just got a job there this year as the junior high girls pastor, so I thought it would be nice for all of us to go there for her this year. The service was great and a good reminder of how the True Christmas Story should be life changing and something we talk about and share with others. When I think of Christmas, I can only imagine what it was like that night when Christ was born, how Mary felt and the look on Joseph’s face when he saw his baby boy for the first time. What tremendous amounts of joy filled that barn that evening and now that Joy is alive and well here on Earth today, in us!
Luke and Brooke did awesome and of course their favorite part was the candle lighting. Luke was a wiggle worm, but enjoyed sitting on the step taking notes (writing on paper with a pen). After service, we all came back to our house and enjoyed brisket that was smoked by Brandon. It was so good and of course I think my husband makes the best BBQ! At this point I forgot to take any pictures and only took a few with my phone at the church! We were just enjoying our time together and celebrating the birth of Christ! I let Brandon open one gift early because I was so excited about it as well. I totally surprised him and got him a banjo. The funny thing, at church service just an hour or so before, he said “I want a banjo.” I love that I can spoil my husband!!! He sure deserves it!!
