After the mall, we went over to the Dallas Zoo. Brooke loves going to the zoo and has been asking to go for weeks now. Typically, we go during the week, while it it less busy and Daddy is at work. Since Daddy is off for a few days over the Christmas break, I thought this would be the perfect time to go as a family. We didn’t tell Brooke, we wanted it to be a surprise, but with one little hint, she guessed where we were going! We told her we were going to a 3 letter word place. Yes, I know there aren’t many 3 letter word places but for a girl who just turned 5 and doesn’t know how to completely read right now, I didn’t think she would figure it out! Well she is smarter than I gave her credit for! She guessed it and was super excited!

While we were at the zoo, we fed the birds, rode the horse and fed the giraffe crackers! We have fed the giraffe lettuce before, but never crackers! The giraffe loved these and we got to pet and feed him for awhile. Luke was excited about the giraffe till it got super close to him, then he was fine standing back with Daddy while he took pictures! We had a great time as a family at the zoo. Days like these are just wonderful to me and ones I will cherish forever!
