Today, GG turned 88 so we decided to go out to his place and take him to lunch. Brooke and Luke love seeing GG and love exploring at his house. It of course makes me nervous because he has a ton of antiques but they do great and GG just lets them do whatever they want. I would say they are slightly spoiled by him. We went out to lunch at Babes and Brandon and I both felt liked we failed as parents, here is why. I ordered both the kids fried chicken for their lunch and when it came out neither of them knew how to eat it. They were amazed that they would eat chicken off the bone. GG helped teach them and after today we feel like much better parents now that our kids know how to eat chicken off a bone, ha!

After lunch, we went back to GG’s and just spent some time with him. The kids found GG’s back braces and played with them and then we also watched some football. We found some old pictures and looked through some of those with GG and had him tell us who the people were. GG is so special to us and we are so happy that we got to celebrate with him today!
