My sweet Brooke,
As I think about you turning 7 years old, I can’t help but get emotional. I think every year it hits harder and harder for me that my first child, my baby girl, is getting older so quickly in front on my eyes. Brooke you are such a beautiful girl and Mommy loves you so very much. I don’t think I can tell you enough how proud I am of you, how happy you make me and what a joy you are in my life. You are now in first grade and you love school. You think your teacher is so funny and you enjoy learning! When we you get ready for school you want to be dressed a certain way. Some days you want a dress and are very adamant about that, other days you want shorts and tennis shoes so you have a better chance at getting away when playing tag at recess. I love that you know what you want and you stand up for what you believe in. At times you get an attitude and back talk but that most of the time changes quickly and you remember that you don’t want to act that way. You love your brother and you two play so well together. He really looks up to you and wants to do everything you do. This gets on your nerves at times but for the most part you let him follow you, copy you and be apart of what you are doing. You are such a great big sister and I love to see you two bond and play together! There are so many things I love about you! I love that you have a love for animals, you seriously love your cat Mowy. You want to hold, pet and show him off any time you can! I think you actually might be a cat person more than a dog person. You do love your dogs Cooper and Baymax but Mowy holds a special place in your heart. You love to draw, do arts and crafts and create things. You are so thoughtful and creative and I love this about you! You are also very thoughtful and mindful of others. When you see a wreck or an ambulance, you want to pray for them and I just love how thoughtful and honoring to God that is! I love seeing how the Lord teaches you things and how the Lord works through your life. Another thing I love is that you still like to cuddle. You still love to sit with me, snuggle with me or even crawl into bed with me at times. I hope this never changes and that you and I remain close so that these moments of just embracing each other or being near each other never ends. You are sensitive and at times I forget how sensitive you are. I am glad that you are though because it reminds me that you are still young, you still need me and that you have a pure heart that needs protecting. Brooke, you are such a joy to me and I love you so very much. You make me laugh, smile, you teach me things about myself that I want to improve, you are sweet, kind and just have a love for life and a love for others. Baby girl I hope you have a fabulous 7th birthday and I love you so very much!
