Emily works at The Hermitage and got us free tickets, so today after brunch with Josh and Emily, we drove out to the hermitage! The hermitage was Andrew Jackson’s home. We took the audio tour and the kids loved having the speaker to carry around and learn about Andrew Jackson. We took a tour of the grounds, his garden and his home. It was quite fascinating to learn and see all these things! Once we got back to their house, we went out to dinner and then stopped by The Bluebird Cafe. I didn’t go in mainly because of the line but seeing it and getting my picture was good enough! That night at Josh and Emily’s we went out in their front yard and caught fire flies. The kids loved this and Luke and Brooke both got pretty good at catching them! We had a great day! It was a lot of fun exploring a new place and learning new things!
