Nashville – Day 3
Today is the 4th of July and Nashville is having a big festival downtown. We went back and forth on whether or not we were going to go down town or not but then finally decided we would. When we first got there, we walked around looking for breakfast. Once we found and ate breakfast, we then went to the Country Music Hall of Fame. They had a puppet show going on, so we watched some of that before going into the museum. We then went to the museum, the kids made a puppet, we saw some cool artifacts and even got to try out singing in a sound booth. It was a fun museum but we were ready to keep exploring. After the museum, we went back to downtown to check out the festival. We ended up eating at Hard Rock Cafe, which was our least favorite place to eat the whole time we were there. The kids got lots of free goodies and ice cream at the end. While we were down there, Brandon got himself a new pair of boots for his birthday!
We had a great time in downtown but decided to leave and go take a tour of the Grand Ole Opry. I wasn’t sure how the kids would like this tour, but we all enjoyed it a lot. It was so cool going behind the stage to see all the dressing rooms and how they are decorated differently. I love to hear stories and hearing stories about the Opry members mail boxes to specific dressing rooms stars are assigned too was so interesting! We even got to go into one and sit on the couch! We then got to go on stage which was so cool and see artifacts from one of my favorite TV shows, Nashville! This tour was my favorite part of the day! We then went to bass pro shops and then back to Emily and Josh’s house for dinner. We had an amazing day and 4th of July!
