Today is Luke’s 5th Birthday and we have a whole day scheduled to celebrate him! First thing we did was eat breakfast at Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet! Luke and Brooke loved all the characters and loved showing them the drawings they did of them. After breakfast, we spent a few hours at Magic Kingdom and then back back to our hotel for a nap. We were staying out late tonight so we knew a nap was needed in order for the kids to make it through the night and not be grumpy! When we woke up we took a bus back over to Magic Kingdom and then took the boat over to Wilderness Lodge for us to attend Mickey’s Backyard BBQ. Luke was so excited about the BBQ and could not wait to get there! I had never done this character dinner before so i was looking forward to it as well! They had a live band and the characters would dance with the kids on the dance floor, which the kids loved and they also had a trick roper. Luke was amazed by the trick roper and watched everything he did! We got our picture with Cowboy Mickey and Minnie and had a great dinner and Mickey ice cream! After dinner, we went back over to Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks before the park closed. We purchased After Hour tickets so we got the park from 9pm to 12am with a limited number of guests in the park. The ended up being awesome because the whole week was pretty crowded so having the park and the rides not crowded was worth it! We got to ride Splash Mountain back to back and didn’t even have to get off, we also got to do this on Big Thunder Mountain. We rode the Dwarf Mine Train 5 times and by midnight we had ridden 20 rides in 3 hours! It was awesome and we all had such a great time! Luke loved his 5th Birthday and had fun celebrating all day long!
