Our town put a outdoor ice skating rink at the park and both of my kids could not wait to go skate there. Brooke has been ice skating a couple of times but Luke has never been so he was super excited and I was curious how he would do. I got both of their skates on and they both took off. Brooke is more cautious and Luke just goes! He was skating/running all over the rink. It was cracking me up because the boy just caught on with no help and just went for it!Our friends, The Arden’s, joined us ice skating, which the kids absolutely loved. It was also nice to get Luke out of the house since he had been cooped up for several days with the flu. We skated for awhile and then all went out to dinner afterwards. We are so excited about Christmas break and can’t wait to do more fun things while the kids are out of school.
