Brooke loves soccer and has been so excited about her first game! Today their game was at 11 am and there was a chance of rain! Brooke, her friend Brinley and friend Rylee started the game! Since Brooke just got her ears pierced, I put band-aids over her earrings to keep them protected and hidden! When the referee said no jewelry, Brooke then says “Don’t forget about my earrings.” She can not keep secrets or tell lies! Thankfully he didn’t hear her and she didn’t have to take them out!

Brooke loves that she has friends on her team. I love watching them because they are so funny. At point during the game, Brooke, Rylee and Brinly were sizing each other up, seeing who was the tallest. They did a lot of laughing, holding hands (as little girls do), running and having fun!

The game started and she did great! She even scored a goal! We were so proud of her. Luke did awesome and only went out on the field once to hug his Daddy’s leg. He loved watching Brooke and especially liked sitting on the bench with her. At one point he ended up in Brooke’s lap. They love each other and I love seeing them display that.

It did however begin to sprinkle but the girls didn’t seem to mind. They sat under a blanket and stayed dry for the most part. They did however, love running around in the rain and had a fun time after the game playing “Ring around the Rosie.” Brooke had so much fun at her first soccer game and we are so proud of her! After the game we asked if she had fun and liked soccer. She replied, “yes!” She then said, “The other team was small (meaning short) but they sure knew how to play soccer.” She always has us laughing! We love our #8!
