Brooke took dance from my dance teacher this year and we absolutely loved it. Having her dance for the teacher I danced for is so cool. We love Mrs. Vicki and Brooke loved being in her class. At the beginning of this year, I got to help out with the dance class and that was so fun and rewarding to me. These girls were so much fun and I loved helping them grow as dancers!

Today, is Brooke’s dance recital at the Majestic Theater in Dallas. Brooke and I had to get to the theater at 10 am for rehearsal and then the show was at 4 pm. It made for a long day but it went smoothly! The girls loved the dressing room and stayed busy being having snacks, coloring and playing on the I-pads! Our family and Darby came later and got to see Brooke perform! This venue was very cool and Brooke was so excited to dance on the stage. She performed 2 dances, a tap and a jazz routine. She did awesome in both of them. I was on the stage behind the curtain during the performances just in case the girls needed some cues as to what step was next.

After Brooke’s tap dance, the music went off and the lights went out, I then heard Luke yell “Yeah Brooke.” He was so excited and proud to see his sister dance on the stage. I love the love they have for each other. It is just so precious to experience! After the recital our family and Darby went and ate lunch at the twisted root then we went and grabbed some frozen yogurt from sweet frogs! Brooke had a fabulous dance recital and she is already excited for dance to start back up in the fall!
