Our friend Haley is the mascot at Mesquite High school and asked us to come see her at the mascot turkey trot. Brooke loves mascots and Luke likes them from a distance so I thought this would be fun for us to go to and support Haley! We got there and there were so many mascots. Brooke loves the Texas Rangers mascot, Captain, even though we called him the wrong name a few times. He forgave us and he and Brooke were pals. The lion from Medical City Children’s was another one of our favorites! He and Brooke spent lots of time together! Luke wasn’t a fan of any of them except the Turkey. He liked the turkey and went up to him on his own. The events and the race today were so much fun! This is a day I will never forget, we even made it on Good Morning Texas!
