Luke wanted a cowboy party and if anyone knows Luke this wasn’t hard to guess. Luke loves dressing up like a cowboy and in fact would wear his cowboy boots every single day if I let him! He was so excited for his cowboy party and could not wait to celebrate. He asked me several times for me to rent a bull for the back yard so he could bull ride. This was not going to happen so he got to pick from a petting zoo or ponies to ride. He chose ponies and so we had 6 ponies in our drive way for the kids to ride! Luke was so excited to wear all his cowboy gear and ride these horses. In fact he rode them almost the entire hour with only getting off once for a break!

In our backyard, I set up a photo spot, hula hoop ring toss around a horse, roping cow heads and knock the cans over games. The kids seemed to love all the games as well as the pony rides. At the end of the pony rides, they took one of the horses off and led Luke around on the street. Oh man, he thought that was so cool and that sure did make him feel special! After the ponies left, it was time for cake and presents! I made a cowboy boot cake for Luke and other cute food items to go along with the cowboy theme! Luke wanted to cut his own cake, so I let him for a little bit! He is so independent and loves to do things himself!

We had such a great party and a wonderful time celebrating Luke turning 4!
