Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve is already here and I think I am just as excited as the kids are. I love Christmas and one of my favorite things about it is we all go to church together on Christmas Eve. Nana, Grandma, Papa, Allison, GG, and Aunt Susan and us four were all together, and I just loved it! Allison got a new job this year and we typically always go to the church where she is working. So this year we got to attend Highland Park First United Methodist Church. After the service, Brandon and I both agreed this was our favorite Christmas Eve service we had been to in awhile. We loved the traditional service, the pipe organ that played the Christmas carols beautifully and the simple message that God is alive and with us today! After service, we all went out to eat at Elfenix and then went home to get ready for Christmas morning. The kids baked Santa chocolate chip cookies and left those out with a glass of milk for him to eat and drink. They were so excited and could not wait for the next morning. I also finished my reindeer cake before going to bed and thought he turned out pretty cute! I can’t wait for the kids to wake up and see all their gifts and the big surprise (a trampoline) from Brandon and I. They are going to flip! (literally) 🙂
