Brooke’s Baptism
Brooke asked Jesus in her heart last summer (summer 2017) and since then has been asking to get baptized. She has been so excited for this day and I could not be more proud. Accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior is the most important decision in her life and I am so proud that she is not only my daughter but now my sister in Christ. Our church doesn’t have a permanent baptismal so there are only certain dates where they do baptisms, the other dates didn’t work out for us but today did. When I told Brooke that this Sunday February 25th she would be getting baptized, her face just lit up with joy and happiness. This is the day she had been waiting for and her excitement filled the room. She was excited to show others that she put her faith in Jesus Christ ! Our family and friends came to see her get baptized which was so sweet of them to do. Before she got baptized, they gave her a shirt to write a word on it to explain her faith in Christ and what it means to her. Brooke wrote HAPPY. I think this word fits perfectly because her happiness for accepting Christ is priceless and she is just so happy she gets to be baptized. Brooke loved having her family and friends there to support her and so did I. After the service we went to eat at Napoli’s for lunch. We are so very blessed by our family and friends and so thankful for those who support her and came to see her get baptized today. I am beyond proud!
