A day at the lake
Well, today Grandma and Papa picked us up to go out on the lake on his new boat. We went to Lake Lavon which was not too far, so that was nice! Once we got there Papa tool the boat out for a test run before we all got in. Once he was done we were super excited and couldn’t wait!
Papa bought a tube for us to go tubing on and we had a blast. This was my first official time to tube on a lake. Brooke got on with me and we went really slow in the shallow area. She wasn’t too sure about it but we had fun and after she was done then wanted to go again. Brandon rode the tube once and I rode it 3 times, 1 time slow with Brooke and 2 fast by myself. It was so much fun, I can’t wait to go again!
I also got my first boating injury. I wanted to come up with this great story on how my injury happened but I guess I will just stick to the truth and what really happened. As I was getting into the boat from tubing the second time I scraped my leg pretty hard on the exhaust cover and it bruised up pretty fast. I bruise fairly easily, so I wasn’t surprised. We need to invest in a ladder, Brandon couldn’t even get into the boat by himself! Ha-look who has better upper body strength now, LOL.
We had so much fun, grilled some hot dogs for lunch and just had a blast being on the water and spending time at the lake. I look forward to many more adventures out on the boat and at lakes!
