The State Fair of Texas is going on and we decided when we would go. Well, knowing this crazy Texas weather, the day we chose to go had an 80% chance of rain. We would leave after Brooke got out of school and head that way in hopes the rain would die down. When we left the house it was pouring and I thought this is such a horrible idea! Since it was raining I relied on the good ole iphone for pictures and didn’t worry about bringing my camera! Once we got there, it had eased up and wasn’t miserable. In fact, it wasn’t bad at all. There were no lines for rides, food or to try anything out. Going on a rainy day actually might have been a smart idea!

That evening it had stopped enough for us to ride some rides and enjoy some fried food! The kids had a blast and so did we! Brooke loved the fast ride she got to ride with her Daddy! She wasn’t too sure but afterwards thought it was the coolest thing ever. She was a little disappointed that they didn’t use the smoke machine on her turn on the ride as the ride before did. She always makes us laugh! When we decided it was time to leave, the weather confirmed that decision by rain falling heavily! Good thing we were out of tickets and ready to go!
