Blackberry – Peach Cobbler

So if you are from the Dallas area, I hope you have heard of Ham’s Orchard. If not it’s a must see or shall I say stop. They grown their own peaches and blackberries. So when they opened the blackberry fields I made my way there to get fresh picked peaches and to pick my own black berries. Once home I HAD to make something and so the thing that sounded good and southern was cobbler. What southern girl doesn’t like a cobbler!

Ingredients:

Pie Dough – The way I went this time was to buy the refrigerated pack, if you want to go homemade, go for it, I just wanted cobbler fast!

Peaches (lots of them) – fresh picked ones are my preference

Blackberries – again fresh picked are the best ones!

Sugar – and LOTS of it, 2 and 1/2 cups to be exact ( 2 cups for the inside of the cobbler, 1/2 cup on top of the melted butter which you will spread over the top layer dough)

Cinnamon – I don’t measure I just sprinkle to what I think looks good

Flour – again I don’t measure, just sprinkle some on not too much but if i had to guess a couple of tablespoons will do it

A pinch or to of salt

Melted butter – this will go on top of the top layer dough

Cook Time – 350 degrees for 60 minutes or until golden brown on top and bubbly underneath

Ice Cream – Blue Blue (again if you live in the south)

Last but not least – EAT IT UP, It sure is good and yummy

Top of the pie crust with 9 breathing holes, ready for the oven
