4th of July Sucker Cookies

Our community group is having a get together to celebrate the 4th and so I HAD to make something cute to bring. I decided on these cute sucker cookies that I saw on Occasional Cookies Blog Spot. They turned out great and are very yummy!

add ribbon the stick and then you have cute little sucker cookies

Here are the steps in how to make these cute sucker cookies!

Make a batch of your favorite sugar cookies and roll into a log.

Cut log into 3rd's and add food coloring to each section. I used red and blue. I didn't have any white so I just went with the actual color of the cookie dough.

mix coloring into the dough, I used my hands for this

pinch a small part off each color and make a log stack

roll out into a snake about 12 inches long

twist the dough

roll the dough up into sucker form, use a flat spatual to trasfer to cookie sheet.

add sanding sugar and freeze for about 5 minutes

once out of the freezer, add the loli pop stick and bake

add ribbon the stick and then you have cute little sucker cookies
