A local peach orchard, Ham’s Orchard, just opened a few weeks ago and I have been waiting to till they opened up the blackberry picking. Today, was the first day they opened their blackberry picking, so I knew I wanted to go before they all got picked over! This year Luke got to pick them too and loved it. Brooke loved finding the biggest ones possible and quickly got lots in her bucket! They had such a fun time picking berries. We then went inside to get some peaches and some peach ice cream! While we were there a train came by and Luke and Brooke were so excited to see it so close! Once we got home with our berries and peaches, I made a blackberry peach cobbler that tasted so good! We love summer and will be going back to Hams soon for more peaches and ice cream!
