Today after we dropped Brooke off at school, Luke asked if we could do something fun. I said what do you have in mind and he said “the zoo.” So we packed up some snacks, called our friends Misty and Cutler to join us and went on to the zoo. It is still so weird going places without Brooke, I am not sure I will ever get used to that. But today it was just us with our boys and the time we had with them, just them two, was special. I think they both really enjoyed being there just them with their moms and each other. They got to feed the giraffes and pet them, which was super cool! Boys are so much fun, and these two boys are super sweet! My full attention was on Luke and just being with him and having a fun day at the zoo was just we needed, a “Fun Day.”
