Howdy Homemade

My friend Clay is the manager at Howdy Homemade and asked me to come up to the store to see it and try some ice cream! Luke got to come along with me and I am so glad he did! Howdy Homemade hasn’t opened yet so we got to see and hear about the vision that this store will become. However, we did get to meet the owners and some of the employees that will be working there. Let me just say how incredibly honored I was to meet each of these kids and the opportunity I had to spend a few hours with them. They loved Luke and Luke loved them. These kids even though they have special needs are true sweet hearts and were helping, learning and exploring in the ice cream shop today! Seeing their faces light up while eating ice cream, learning how to cook and clean, playing with my son, making us both laugh was just the perfect way to spend our day! When they brought out the ice cream, I of course had to try most of them. I had smore’s, huckleberry, salted caramel, peanut butter and jelly, vanilla, and hot tamale. My favorite one that I just had to back for seconds was the peanut butter and jelly ice cream! This stuff was amazing and I am a picky ice cream eater! Today was incredible and I am truly honored to have tried this amazing restaurants ice cream and turkey sandwich but more than that I was honored to meet these individuals who will change the hearts of many through their smiles, laughs and the ice cream they serve!
