Texas Tulip Fields

My mom and I saw that there was a tulip field here in Texas and decided we should go sooner than later. We decided to go opening day and our friend Clay came along with us as well. The weather was chilly and it was very windy. We really didn’t know what to expect other than tulips in a field that you could pick. When we got there, we learned very quickly that we were not prepared. It was muddy, cold and we didn’t have anything to dig the tulips up with since they told us we could dig up the bulb as well. SO we decided to get the bulb so we could replant them when we got home. This ended up being my moms job mainly because she was the first one to start digging and we all saw how muddy she got so we just left it to her. We carried the basket and the purses so everything else didn’t get muddy!

The tulips were gorgeous and even though digging the tulips up was not an easy job we all had fun, even my mom! Luke found a stick so he let Nana use the stick and that helped her some! I think we ended up with 14 tulips and we are just hoping they will come back up at our house! We had a great time but were ready to get in the warm car and get cleaned up!
