Brooke just started playing basketball and absolutely loves it. She has been asking for a couple years to play and Brandon wanted to wait till she was in the 3rd grade to begin. We signed her up with the Little Dribblers league for this year. Brandon was really hoping to be the coach but there wasn’t enough girls/teams where they needed another coach. He was pretty bummed and still has a hard time just watching and not being down there to coach. Brooke got the number 8 and this was given to her without us even requesting that number, we were all pretty excited! So, today she had her first game and before the game Brandon went over a few things and practiced with her so she would be prepared more! She did great and scored 6 points! The best part of this game is when Brandon told me, you know how you get teary eyes when you see pictures of the kids little, well i got teary eyed when Brooke got her first basket. This of course then made me teary eyed. Who knew basketball could bring tears to your eyes, lol! Brandon loves basketball and loved to play so seeing Brooke play brings him so much joy! She had a great game and they won 27 to 4. I can’t wait to continue to watch her this season and see her grown and learn as a player! We are so proud of you Brooke!
